Tours

Take a tour of the historical Government House. Today, the brilliantly colored pink-and-white Government House is the official residence of the Governor General of The Bahamas and is renowned for its beautiful views of Nassau Harbour. The interior remains the same as when it was redecorated by the Duchess of Windsor, following the Duke of Windsor’s arrival in Nassau as Governor (1940-1945).

Junkanoo Festivals

Come and see our vibrant and innovative work of art through our costumes, dance and music inspired by a different theme each year. The Bahamas is the host of three (3) major Junkanoo Festivals yearly: Boxing Day (Dec. 26), New Year’s Day (Jan. 1) and summer time Goombay Junkanoo Festival (July-August). Hear the whistles, cowbells and goat-skinned drums that gathers men and women from all different walks of life to our shores.
