Spend the Day at a Waterpark in the Bahamas

Nassau is known for its idyllic weather, but summer can bring with it higher temperatures. However, there are countless ways to beat the summer heat, especially for Paradise Island Beach Club guests. Enjoy popular water activities like riding on jet skis or swimming in the waters off Cabbage Beach. Perhaps one of the best ways to cool off is by visiting a waterpark in the Bahamas.

Two of the most popular parks are only a short drive from our resort. To help you have the best time possible, we’ve put together a cheat sheet of all the important information you need to know.

What to Know about Aquaventure Waterpark

Aquaventure, the waterpark at Atlantis, is one of the most popular in the Bahamas for good reason. This 141-acre attraction features 11 swimming pools and endless things to do. Feel the thrill of riding down some of the iconic waterslides, like the Power Tower or the Mayan Temple. Go for a ride on the Rapids River, the longest river in the Bahamas, and features a section of white-water rapids. Given its popularity, we recommend purchasing your day pass as soon as possible. Make your visit extra enjoyable by reserving a private cabana.

A Guide to Baha Bay at Baha Mar

A second equally fun option is Baha Bay. The luxury beachfront waterpark is part of Baha Mar and is known for its breathtaking surroundings. There are several unique areas to experience, like Turtle Beach and Stingray Cove. Be sure to try your hand at catching a wave on The Surf, a state-of-the-art surf simulator. The park is open daily, and you will need to purchase a day pass. If you find yourself getting hungry, there are several on-site dining options to choose from.

Get Away from the Crowds at Paradise Island Beach Club
